The art of Champagne
Paul-François
Vranken
As a young entrepreneur, Paul-François Vranken decides to definitively settle in Champagne in 1976 to set up his own champagne house. Established in the heart of the Sézanne region, he turns the quality of his champagnes into his priority topic.
After suppressing the cognac spirit from his cuvées, he reveals light and fruity bruts which revolutionise the most discerning palates.
The brand has found its style, and no longer changes it.

Crozat
« Being the second Cellar Master means having the responsibility of remaining faithful to the style of the Maison that has been developed for over 40 years, while anticipating the future and continuing the commitment to sustainable viticulture and the defence of biodiversity in Champagne. All this is the result of a marvellous alchemy between our work and that of a unique know-how from an exceptional region, Champagne. »

Tête
de cuvée
Brut nature
The latest Vranken creation is an authentic champagne without artifice. This new unsweetened Cuvée Brut Nature is a new interpretation of the traditional Champagne blend.
Cuvée Brut Nature is a true, intense expression of its grape varieties: it brings out the best of their flavours and the quality of the Champagne region.
The source of Vranken’s spirit is a vineyard that has been formed during the house’s 40-years existence. Today, we are one of the few houses that produces a large portion of the grapes we need to craft our champagnes.
The remaining grapes come from our affiliated and non-affiliated growing partners whose grapes are tended with the same rigour and attention.
Producing while fully respecting the environment is a moral obligation for a highly reputed designation of origin.
This long-standing concern has gained strength over the last fifteen years, and is part of our goal to sustainably develop our activities. Since 2015, the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group holds both the “Viticulture Durable en Champagne” (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) and “Haute Valeur Environnementale” (High Environmental Value) labels.
From 1978 onwards, Paul-François VRANKEN and Dominique PICHART, the first winemaker, revolutionised taste by suppressing the cognac spirit from our champagnes to create lighter, more modern wines, full of freshness: the Vranken taste is born and with it, the taste of aperitif champagne.
“It is not about pleasing or displeasing but merely about building. The first characteristic feature of the Vranken Champagne House is to be able to handle this constant mix of innovation in the making of champagne and creativity with dexterity.”
The whole history of Demoiselle champagne by Vranken, the champagne’s latest qualitative, œnological and above all gustatory revolution, are hidden behind this title.
The tête de cuvée is a qualitative splitting of the pressing specific to the making of Vranken’s Demoiselle champagnes. This phrase sums up all the detailed work the Vranken champagne teams do at harvest time.
Upstream, the quality of the grapes must be flawless and the crus used are selected with the utmost care. Grapes from Vranken’s vineyards are a solid basis for making Demoiselle Tête de Cuvée thanks to the beautiful geographical distribution of the desired crus. First-rate grapes are harvested at the peak of their ripeness and brought to the press as quickly as possible.
